Empire State Building Lit With Colors Of Winning NFL Teams

The Empire State Building is lit up in green, blue, red, and white to congratulate the NFL teams who won on Sunday.  The New England Patriots defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars to become the AFC Champions.  The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Minnesota Vikings to become the NFC Champions.  Philadelphia and New England will now face off in the Super Bowl. Some New Yorkers took to social media to voice their unhappiness with the Manhattan building being lit in Eagles and Patriots colors.  New York sports teams are rivals of the squads in the Boston area and Philadelphia.

The Empire State Building Twitter page had messages including "not my skyscraper" and "turn it off."
