Former basketball player at LSU Brian Bridgewater surprises NFL scouts

Jimmy Graham and Antonio Gates are two names Former LSU Basketball player Brian Bridgewater hopes to draw comparisons to as he impressed NFL scouts with his hands at LSU's pro day. "A lot of them were surprised that I caught the ball really well," Bridgewater told nola.com "I thought that was funny, because that's like my biggest asset, catching. It's like rebounding -- you just go up and get it." Bridgewater averaged 1.8 points per game over 3 seasons with the LSU basketball team. when asked about the transition from football to basketball he said, "Football running and basketball running are totally different," he said. "You are running lighter on your feet in basketball. You can't just run heavy on your feet, and I feel like that's what I need to improve on."


He also discussed the transition with Jacques Doucet of WAFB in Baton Rouge.
