The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have picked up the fifth year option on former Florida State star Jameis Winston. Winston has thrown for 11,636 yards, 69 touchdowns and 44 interceptions on a career 60.8% completion percentage. He is 18-27 in his career.
Winston is still being investigated by the NFL for an alleged incident in Arizona in 2016 after an Uber driver accused Winston of groping her crotch during a ride. Winston denied the allegations, and on Monday said that the NFL has yet to contact him in regards to the information. It's worth noting that the option is only guaranteed for injury, and the Bucs can still cut Winston with no penalty should the NFL find wrongdoing on his part.
