Reports: VT QB Jackson's Academic Issues Resolved, Remains On Team

Virginia Tech QB Josh Jackson made headlines a few weeks ago when reports surfaced that the sophomore quarterback would be suspended indefinitely due to academic issues. Reports have now surfaced that Jackson, Virginia Tech's incumbent starter, has had whatever academic issues he faced resolved, and still remains a part of the team.

Per Roanoke Times' VT beat writer Andy Bitter:

There's no indication he'll face any type of suspension, meaning he most likely will be the starter for the Hokies' opener at Florida State on Labor Day night.

Virginia Tech opens the season with Florida State in Tallahassee, with kickoff scheduled for 8:00PM EST.
